New York: Jennifer Aniston is so impressed by her yoga instructor Mandy Ingber that she is launching a DVD for her. The Friends star has jetted back from her Moroccan break to host a party for Ingber’s DVD Yogalosophy at the Sunset Towers hotel in LA on Thursday.

Aniston, who previously admitted she practices yoga to “quiet her mind”, has even filmed a personal introduction for the video.

“Mandy brought yoga into my life. This workout will change your body and your mind,’ the New York Post quoted Aniston as saying.

The DVD is inspired by a yoga feature that Aniston and Ingber did for Self magazine in 2006.

“Jen works out with Mandy up to five times a week, and they have become such great friends she even takes Mandy on vacation with her. So Jen was delighted to help launch her DVD,” said a source.

Guests that are expected for the launch include Aniston’s best friend, Courtney Cox, and Self Editor-in-Chief Lucy Danziger.

Aniston: Yoga changed my life

The former ‘Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston appears in the introduction to ‘Yogalosophy’, a new workout DVD fronted by her friend and yoga instructor Mandy Ingber, and says she was amazed at the impact learning the discipline had on her.

In the short clip, she says: “She brought yoga into my life. It completely changed my life.

“It’s one of the most fun workouts I’ve ever had. So have fun and work hard because it will totally pay off.”

It was recently claimed that Jennifer, 40, flew Mandy from Los Angeles to New York to help her get in shape when playing a younger woman in ‘The Bounty’.

A source said: “Jennifer has had a totally overhaul for this film. She wants to be seriously fit, yet remain curvy.

“There are a lot of early starts on set, so she has had to get up at 3am to get two hours in the gym before filming at 5am. She is supposed to be playing a 35-year-old, and is concerned she won’t look the part now she is 40.

“It hasn’t been easy, but she has combined one-on-one yoga sessions with gruelling weight and workout sessions. Her new body is the talk of the set and she is revelling in the attention. Everyone agrees that Jennifer is looking sensational at the moment. Her curves have definitely been noticed - she is glowing.”

Schwimmer back in director’s chair

December 2nd, 2009 | No Comments »

David Schwimmer is stepping behind the camera again to direct new feature film Trust.

The former Friends star - who was at the helm of Simon Pegg comedy Run Fatboy Run in 2007 - is directing Clive Owen and Catherine Keener as the parents of a 14-year-old girl who is raped by an online predator.

Countering child sex abuse is an important issue for the star, who serves on the board of directors of the Rape Foundation Of Santa Monica (California), and he revealed he hopes to “educate” as well as entertain with the film.

“Perhaps it could have an effect the way movies like The Accused did for its time,” he said.

The 43-year-old has met with victims of abuse and said he was “really moved by some of the stories” and “in particular their families”.

Seven years ago, a victim’s father spoke at a fundraiser which Schwimmer attended and discussed the anguish and anger he felt when he learned his teenage daughter had been groomed online and later raped. That man was the inspiration for Owen’s character, who has difficulty coping with the attack on his daughter.

Filming is set to end later this month.

Lisa Kudrow: ‘Everyone Is Too Busy For Friends Movie’

November 20th, 2009 | No Comments »

Lisa Kudrow doesn’t think there will ever be a ‘Friends’ movie.

The 45-year-old actress - who played kooky masseuse Phoebe on the US TV show – believes a big screen reunion is unlikely because “everyone is busy”.

Referring to the show’s original writer-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, Lisa said: “I guess they don’t think it’s a good idea… It would be fun, but I don’t know. How? Why? Really? Everyone is busy!”

Lisa previously admitted it would be “fun” to shoot a movie if the other main cast members wanted to.

She said: “If there was a way to figure it out then it could happen.”

Courteney Cox-Arquette – who played Monica on the show – was reportedly desperate to star in a movie version too.
