The final episode of long-running comedy Friends has been named TV’s biggest tearjerker in a new poll.

Even as reports suggest a cast reunion for a big screen version of the sitcom, it has emerged that fans shed the most tears when the six friends ended their decade-long run on TV, reported Daily Mail online.

The highly charged moment as the pals in the American show handed back apartment keys and viewers said goodbye to Joey, Chandler, Ross, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe was ranked the most emotional moment in TV.

However, the British soap EastEnders claimed the biggest share of places in the top ten with four sob-laden entries in the poll for Freeview HD.

The poll found 60 per cent of women enjoy a regular cry while watching TV, while the men who took part proved to be an even softer touch with 79 per cent saying they cried once a week.

No other TV show has had quite the popularity of F.R.I.E.N.D.S and we still enjoy watching Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey and Phoebe just as much as we ever did.

The sitcom’s female actresses have all continued to act since the series finished. Jennifer Aniston has launched a film career since she let the sitcom, Courteney Cox has starred in films and her most recent project, the TV series Cougar Town, is proving to be a success and Lisa Kudrow has starred in several movies, even putting in a cameo appearance in Cougar Town.

It seems Jennifer Aniston has forgotten about her “Friends.”

Nearly six years after her hit NBC sitcom went off the air, Aniston revealed that she has no idea who her former co-star, David Schwimmer, plans to marry. In an appearance on “The Late Show” earlier this month, the actress drew a blank when host David Lettermanasked who Schwimmer, who played Aniston’s on-again, off-again boyfriend on “Friends,” planned to marry. (The answer: Zoe Buckman, a 24-year-old photographer.)

Leaving bachelorhood behind him, David Schwimmer is set to marry his longtime girlfriend, Zoe Buckman, his rep, Ina Treciokas, confirms to E! News.

The actor, 43, best known as Dr. Ross Geller, and Buckman, a 24-year-old British photographer, reportedly met in 2007 when he was working in London on Run Fatboy Run, his feature film directorial debut.

It will be the first marriage for both. Before he found love with Buckman and decided to settle down, Schwimmer previously dated “Torn” singer Natalie Imbruglia and actress Mili Avital among others.

The rumor that Jennifer Aniston will play a women-loving character on “Cougar Town” is mere rumor. The report by Showbiz Spy which said Courteney Cox was finally able to lure her “Friends” co-star into her new show has also been debunked.

“There are no plans for her to be on ‘Cougar Town’,” a rep for Aniston told Gossip Cop. The rep added, “She has not been asked to do ‘Cougar Town’.”

A source told UK newspaper the Mail On Sunday, “[Cox] persuaded Jen to guest star. They have both wanted it to happen for a while, but Jennifer has been too busy. She promised she would do it as soon as she finished promoting her new film, The Bounty Hunter, and it was Jen’s idea to play a lesbian. She wanted to do something different.”

While there is no immediate plan to have Aniston on the sitcom, Cox has promised executive producer Bill Lawrence that she would try to persuade Aniston. “Courteney promised me as a birthday gift she’d make that happen, and I think that’s supersweet,” Lawrence said.
